Gokyo Peak and Lakes Trek

Gokyo Peak and Lakes Trek

The promising alternative to the conventional treks in Khumbu Region, Gokyo Peak and Lakes Trek proceeds through the rarely trodden trekking trail towards Gokyo Valley that allows the enchanting vistas of four massive snow clad mountains over 8.000m altitude including the World’s tallest Mountain-Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Lhotse. Gokyo Trek follows relatively less challenging trail and offers more gratifying vistas into the raw nature in comparison to Kala Patthar. These very features have made Gokyo treks the striking option to classical Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar Trek.
Sauntering through the mesmerizing Gokyo basin and unraveling its prized possession of five turquoise blue Gokyo Lakes, having picturesque views of the exotic Gokyo Valley, indulging in the engaging 360 degree views from the giant Gokyo Ri Peak that stands tall with 5.360m height, rejoicing the view of the largest glacier in Himalayas, Ngozumpa Glacier that stretches itself between Cho Oyu and Gyachung, strolling through the tranquil verdant woods of blooming alpine flowers including rhododendron and traveling through the Highland Villages of Sherpa ethnics with a chance of familiarizing with their customs and traditions are major attractions of Gokyo Peak and Lakes Trek.
Our trekking experts have formulated 18days moderately strenuous ‘Gokyo Peak and Lakes Trek’ package that gets triggered with a pleasant flight to Tenzing Hilary Airport at Lukla from where the sensational trekking experience towards the pristine mountainous land initiates as you trek towards Phakding. Walking past the lively marketplace at Namche Bazaar that is often regarded as the Gateway of Khumbu region, the trail then traverses several Highland Sherpa Villages before leading to the beautiful Valley of Gokyo from where a return trip is made through Dole and Thyangboche to Lukla that marks the end of trekking as we take a flight back to Kathmandu.
